Middlesbrough v Birmingham City 21/8/11

Middlesbrough 3 - 1 Birmingham City
Robson 48
Haroun 69
Martin 72

A strike in the first half from Barry Robson, his second goal in as many games, provided the spark for a memorable comeback at The Riverside Stadium.

Boro went behind in the 36th minute as Carl Ikreme was judged to have brought down Chris Burke with Adam Rooney slotting the visitors resulting penalty past the Boro stopper.

Not disheartened Boro pushed on in the second half with goals from Faris Haroun on debut and Malaury Martin (69 & 72 mins respectively) who Tony Mowbray brought on from the bench midway through the second half.

Overall a brilliant comeback from Boro and a further extension to their unbeaten streak.
